this is basically a collection of movies and pictures my self (FiShMaStEr) and a group of mates made while creating a DC motor.

the main creation of the motor took about 4 hours to get fully operational to the stage you see in the films and pictures. the first stage wasnt too good with our commutator not working effeciently as it stoped after a full rotation and started smoking. This problem was fixed though by Panther (real name not requested to be shown) who went on with the help of the group to create the final product. enjoy the screenshots and the movies.

it works suprisingly well as u can see once you have witnessed it from the movies. here are the links and pictures with a short description of what is in each.

Movies

Movie 1 - short quick demonstration of others the motor. u can see one of the loopings in the purple wire along the top and the second in orange on the sides.

Movie 2 - closer view of the motor while in progress. quite a few sparks flying away from the commutator and as you see quickly at the end it catches alight and starts smoking, not a good smell when you are around it.

Movie 3 - just a movie going around the motor after its been used in the film above. its a good view of what the motor looked like in stationary.
