This is copied straight from worldofraids.com so thanks to them for it.
For a more detailed insight into whats coming in the expansion click on read more. I'll try and get some images up as soon as I can.
What to expect from the Expansion :
*It is going to Northrend! With level 80 and new abilities! If some Objects are achieved, you can create a new Character. The Death Knight. He starts straight in High Level Area. *In PVP there will be finally be the long-ago announced siege weapons available and there will be destroyable buildings, plus a new battleground *The Deathknight will be a kind of Damage Dealer and at the same time a Tank with so far non existant new abilities. He will be playable by Alliance and Horde, but it will be just certain Races who will have the possibility to create a Death Knight. He is the first Hero class and other will probably come in the following Expansions.
More summaries of the of the FAQs:
* New possibilities of designing your Character. * You will fight against the Lich King Arthas! * Leveling from 70 to 80 will take as much time as leveling from 60 to 70. * Howling Fjord will be the first area you will arrive to. Afterwards there will be areas following like Grizzly Hills and Dragonblight. * The first Dungeon will be Utgarde Keep. You will be able to enter it at level 70 and it will be a 5-man Instance. 25er Dungeons will still be existant, just as well as Heroic Instances. * New Profession: Inscription – Enduring amplification of spells and abilities. * There will be a Cinematic Intro. * Northrend will be about as big as Outlands. |

Well I have not added news here for a while now... GOD DAMN, though as always not much will be added. This is just a place to host files and remember the old days... Ahhhh, well if the forums ever come back up again I might use it...
Anyway on with the news. Future Music Festival 2007 lineup has been announced. Incoming copy from SlightlyRandom.Net
| QUOTE | Unfortunately not that great a present of Trance DJ's as I would have hoped, alot more house and dance then anything else but hey, It's got one big name ive been dieing to see for ages so bring it on.
Anyway onto the lineup, for big names this year we have: Ferry Corsten (HELL FUCKING YES) Carl Cox Felix Da Housecat Nick Warren
Also on the list is the dj who did Hands up for Detroit, or whatever that piece of crap song was called... Also on the line up are two very excellent MoS producers, John Course and Goodwill.
Moving on I shall definitly be there, even if it is only for System F, but I think I'll definitly check out some of the other tents this year. |

Well the ever so popular and ever so cocky piratebay torrent tracker has been shutdown, with their servers seized by police and website down without an explanation.
The Pirate Bay was renound for its ability to avoid the law, being placed in Sweden they used backholes and loopholes from all different laws to allow themselves to remain open, all in the meantime throwing the legal documentations and warnings from major companies and businesses whos goods were being distributed by the tracker straight back at them.
Well it looks like it has bit them in the ass now, Swedish law officials have raided the servers and taken hold all servers along with 2 site admins of the pirate bay in for questioning, currently it is unclear though if this was setup by a larger group somewhere in the entertainment industry.
Either way you look at it, this will put a huge dent into the workings of the bitorrent scene at the moment, guess p2p on shit like bitorrent can hopefully fucking die again.

Yup you read it right, hot on the tails of the GTA4 announcement we have Vice City Stories, the next in line for the PSP series. Sofar very little information, the same as GTA4, heck even less really considering there isnt a site or a logo yet for this, but it should be fun and interesting. Heres a bit from take2.
Rockstar Games, the universally-renowned publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), is proud to announce Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. Developed by Rockstar Leeds in conjunction with series creators Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories will be available exclusively on the PSP system in North America on October 17th, 2006 and Europe on October 20th, 2006.
"The success of Liberty City Stories on the PSP system was nothing short of spectacular," said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games and Executive Producer. "The incredible PSP system technology allowed us to do things we never thought possible on a handheld system and we are excited to once again give our audience a fresh experience in one of their favorite locales in the Grand Theft Auto series, Vice City. With Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories we look to once again smash expectations of portable gaming, bringing an all new story and exciting new gameplay elements to this classic setting."
Stay tuned for more info as it develops.

.:: GTA - SA-MP Open Beta ::. |

Well there are now adays alot of mods in general for GTA, and now adays even more multiplayer mods then ever before, and they have definitly improved on what we have posted here from back in the GTA 3 days.
Well the very excellent mod titled simply SA-MP has finally gone into public testing, and from what I've played, its alot of fun.
Current limitations though make it only avaliable to people who have the US version 1.0 of San Andreas, anything else and it tends not to work.
To download the beta follow the link below to the download section to grab it. I shall see about getting a server up but currently cannot promise much.

.:: Vista - Delayed till 2007 ::. |

Microsoft announced on Tuesday that they will once again delay Windows Vista, formerly known as Longhorn, until early next year.
The software giant said it will wrap up development of the new operating system this year and make it available to volume licensing customers in November. Microsoft’s Windows chief Jim Allchin said the company is delaying the broad launch of the product until January 2007.
Allchin also stated that the product will still launch in Microsoft’s next fiscal year, which begins in July, meaning that Microsoft’s overall business for next year shouldn’t be affected.
Allchin stated that some of the additional time was for ensuring security levels, and the company is also working on ironing out usability issues. “We’re trying to crank up the security level higher than ever,” Allchin said. “This came down to a few weeks. We’re trying to do the responsible thing here.”

Personally im liking it, definitly worth a grab for those who use IE, but might prefer tabs from Opera or Firefox.
Note this is for x86 only, x64 is not yet out.

.:: Red Orchestra - Released! ::. |
| Posted by Guest - 03-15-06 13:45 - 0 comments |

Still find this the most stupidest thing ever since the game was originally a mod for Unreal Tournament but hey, they did the same shit to Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat so why not let Steam and Valve make more money from the innocent...
Anway without too much rambling here is the official word.
Roswell, GA March 14th: Tripwire Interactive today launched their highly-anticipated World War II first-person shooter for PC, Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45, on Steam. The game is now immediately available for purchase, download and play via Steam. A boxed version of the game will also be available in stores across North America later this week, via Destineer's Bold Games label, with localized versions shipping to stores worldwide in the coming weeks.
Based on the most highly-acclaimed mod ever made, Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 is a full-featured, stand-alone World War II game that brings players to the frontlines of Eastern European combat during the height of World War II. Players choose from 24 infantry weapons or crew one of 14 detailed vehicles on the Russian Front between 1941-45. The combination of roles across thirteen maps, based on real-world locations and battles, allows Red Orchestra to finally achieve its goal of delivering a full first-person, World War II infantry and vehicle combat simulation.
Yay. Personally I wont be buying this unless I suddenly win big at the pokies or in the lottery, which sure as fuck is not going to happen anytime soon. |

Well the time has come for Microsoft to release another beta version of its up and coming Office release. This time the update isnt large, mostly just compatability for those who are in the Vista beta to be able to run this on their Vista running systems.
here is the word officially from Microsoft.
"Thank you for participating in the 2007 Microsoft Office Technical Beta program. The 2007 Microsoft Office Beta-1 Technical Refresh software is now available for you to download on BetaPlace (http://beta.microsoft.com). As previously mentioned, we have two goals for this release:
We want you to be able to validate that the fixes to issues you've previously reported about 2007 Microsoft Office do meet your organization's needs.
We also want to provide a build of 2007 Microsoft Office that functions on Windows Vista Feb CTP. With this build, we will begin accepting bug and newsgroup submissions regarding the 2007 Microsoft Office Beta1TR build on Windows Vista Feb. CTP." |
